Mr. MacMillan has been teaching and coaching at Dougherty since 2009.  During his time, he has taught Spanish and managed the speech and debate program.  The DVHS speech and debate team has ranked as high as 14th in the country and were 19th in 2013-14.  Mr. MacMillan's students' accomplishments include coaching a 2012 national champion in congress and ten CA state finalists.  Mr. MacMillan has also coached volleyball, soccer, and lacrosse at DVHS.  In 2014 his role changed from coach to dad.

Personal Notes: 

Mr. MacMillan plays spends time with family, travels, plays soccer and rides his bike on the San Francisco Bay Trail in his free time.  He has been to every soccer World Cup since 2006.
