I started my teaching career in 2008 at Foothill High School and moved to Dougherty in the Fall of 2009 due to the budget cuts in education. Over the course of my career I have taught psychology, AP psychology, economics, AP economics, government, and US history. Currently, I am working with world renowned psychologist, Philip Zimbardo, on the implementation of his new educational program on the understanding of human nature. 


Teaching/Educational Philosophy:

A good teacher must be a learner themselves in order to inspiring learning. I believe in being a learner of my content area, teaching methods, and the society in which my students live. 


A good teacher creates a learning environment where the students enjoying learning. I believe in starting and ending the class with positivity and passion. If students leave feeling like they learned something of value, I have done my job.
