adopt a class of 2021 - senior initiative!

Seniors - Please Sign-Up

A group of underclass students at DVHS is concerned, as we all are, about the Class of 2021 missing out on all of the traditional senior class activities in their final year at DVHS.

They have organized an Adopt-a-Senior initiative to help support the seniors and show them some love! They want to make this senior year as special as they can for the senior class. DVHS PTSA is proud to have the opportunity to help support this committee, and our seniors, by helping them get the word out!

To get the most out of this program, we need the most seniors we can to sign up. If you have a teen in the senior class please remind them to fill out the form below. We want to show how much we appreciate our Seniors during this tough time.

Parents and Community Supporters: the student committee will send out more information about how to adopt a senior soon.

home is where the art is

The SRVUSD Art Departments designed apparel for our students/families to help build community rapport and school spirit.  Here is the link for students, families, and staff to view and order their apparel. Please use the code: freeshipJASSB for free individual shipping to your home. Please note that all orders must be received by Monday, October 19th. If we do not meet the minimum number required for production, the whole order will be canceled.

Note from Shopify: When people participate in a group order/Shopify order, we put a hold on their credit card for the maximum amount that they might have to pay in case of the group order tips into regular order. That hold will show up on each client’s card statement under “In Progress” or “Processing” or “Pending.” It’ll stay under “In Progress” or “Processing” or “Pending” until the group order deadline passes. If it passes and the group order hits the minimum, we’ll charge their cards the appropriate amount and the charge will move to the section of the statement for completed charges. At that point, we have charged their cards. If the deadline passes and the group order doesn’t hit the minimum, we will not charge their cards and will release the hold so the charge will disappear from their statements entirely within 3 to 5 business days.

census : answer 3 questions for billions of dollars for california

Census results determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into California to support programs that benefit our communities such as parks, roads, schools, hospitals, health clinics, fire departments and more!

For every person uncounted in the census, we lose $20,000 over ten years for our local communities.

The results of the census also determine how many seats in Congress each state gets.

All responses are kept anonymous and by law cannot be released, even to law enforcement agencies.

Complete the Census NOW!

Online: my2020census.gov

By phone: 844-330-2020

By mail: complete the paper questionnaire (available in different languages) and mail it back

LAST DAY TO COMPLETE THE CENSUS IS SEPTEMBER 30, 2020. For more information, go to CaliforniaCensus.org and follow @CAcensus on social media.

remote and online resources

Parent Access for Grades, Assignments and Information

Parent access to student grades and assignments is an integral part of the educational experience for many of our families, especially during this period of remote learning. We want you to know where to go for information and how to communicate with your student's teachers.

  • Posting and distributing of assignments: Google Classroom Guardian summaries
  • Turning in work: Google classroom
  • Individual assignment score reporting: We will use School Loop to report grades on specific assignments, but will NOT be utilizing Loop Mail. Parents of freshmen and new students in grades 10-12 will need to create a new School Loop account, even if you have used School Loop as a middle school parent. Accounts do not roll from middle school to high school. The estimated completion date of training all teachers and importing all grades into School Loop is September 16.
  • Grade Reporting and Schedules: Use Infinite Campus to check grades at the end of a reporting period. Details of individual assignments will NOT be posted here. You can also see your child's schedule in Infinite Campus.
  • Email: You can communicate with your child's teachers using their @srvusd.net email.
