I was raised in the Bay Area and attended Las Lomas High School. From there I attended UC Davis and competed in Track and field and majored in Psychology with an emphasis in Biology. From Davis I moved up the causeway to Sacramento State to receive my teaching credential.

Teaching/Educational Philosophy:

I believe in using technology to help students learn and make connections to the curriculum. In a day where technology is everywhere it is vital that as teachers we start implementing the use of technology effectively in the classroom. Flipping the classroom is an example of how I have implemented the use of technology. This means that lectures are recorded and posted online so the students watch and take notes as homework. Class time is then free for more labs and projects to help students learn through doing. In Psychology and Health it is imperative that student get to experience the concepts and apply them in the real world and flipping the classroom has allowed for more opportunities for my students to do this.

Personal Notes:

“I have been given this day to use as I will, I can either waste it or use it for good. What I choose to do with it is important, because I am giving a day of my life for it”

“By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.” –Confucius
