Principal's Message

Welcome Back Wildcats!

August 21, 2018

Dear Wildcat Families,

I wanted to personally extend the invitation to you to join me at our first PTSA meeting of the school year, tonight (Tuesday 8/21) at 7pm in the library. I, along with our librarian, Kerri Knapp and DVHS Leadership students, will present updates on what's happening at DVHS.

In my presentation, I will provide information on initiatives and priorities this year and what actions we are taking to achieve those goals. PTSA is an integral part of our school district in general, and DVHS in particular. I work closely with the PTSA President and other leaders in collaboration to support the goals the PTSA sets with the school and the district. I rely on the PTSA as a representative body of parents, students and teachers/staff to extend opportunities for students, improve communications, build community, support the SRVUSD, DVHS and PTA/PTSA health and wellness initiatives. PTSA also plays an integral role in parent education, advocacy, inclusion and diversity and special needs, among other things.

I encourage you to participate and join the PTSA, myself and other staff at the monthly PTSA meetings to learn more, be part of the community and have your voice heard. You do not need to be a member of PTSA to attend the meetings, though you and your students are certainly encouraged to do so.

I hope to see you tonight at 7pm in the DVHS library.
