Red Cross Volunteer Event: East Bay Stand Down (4.5 hours)

Greetings Red Cross Team,


I hope you are doing well!  We are seeking 40 volunteers to support the East Bay Stand Down event in Alameda County on September 13 to September 16, 2018!


What is the East Bay Stand Down Event?


The East Bay Stand Down is a consortium of community organizations coming together to provide a four-day event every other year that bring together the nine-county homeless and at-risk military Veterans living in the Bay Area of California, connecting them with services ranging from VA HealthCare, Dental, Mental Health Services, Clothing, Meals, Emergency Shelter, Transitional and Permanent Housing, ID/Drivers License's, Court Services and Legal Aide, Showers and Haircuts and myriad other services and resources. The event will be held at Alameda County Fairground in Pleasanton. 


Your Red Cross will be providing canteen services (serving coffee, water and snacks) to more than 400 veterans on September 13 to September 16, 2018 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, 4501 Pleasanton Avenue, Pleasanton and we need YOU!


Please sign up today as volunteer registration closes on September 9 by 5pm!

Once you are on the registration page scroll down to the bottom to find the Red Cross calendar section to view the shifts and sign up! Please note that you must get your Red Cross hours forms signed as well as sign up at the given link. Each shift is worth 4.5 Points.
