Position: Science Teacher

Courses Taught: AP Biology, Biology

Email address: adreon@dvhigh.net

Education:

  • High School: Irvington High School Fremont. CA
  • College: UC, Santa Cruz
  • Credentials: UC, Santa Cruz

Background:

I hold a B.S. in Marine Biology and an M.A. in Education both from UC Santa Cruz. When I was young I always said I wanted to be a teacher or a dolphin trainer when I grew up. I am happy to say that both came true. In college, I volunteered with the Marine Mammal Physiology Group at UCSC and was involved in marine mammal training. I live in Livermore with my husband and three children. I love doing anything that involves water.

Teaching/Educational Philosophy:

“Learning is finding out what we already know. Doing is demonstrating that you know it. Teaching is reminding others that they know it just as well as you. You are all learners, doers, and teachers.” — Richard Bach
