  • High School - Arroyo High School, San Lorenzo, CA
  • College - UC Santa Cruz - B.S. Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology
  • Credentials - University of San Francisco - Masters of Education, Single Subject Credential (General Science, Biology, and Chemistry)

I studied Biology at the University of Santa Cruz where I fell in love with science and sharing it with others. After college, I began a career in biotechnology where I continued to develop my interest in applied science for the next eight years. I worked in the fields of drug discovery, tissue engineering, and research and development. Although I enjoyed my career, I felt that the fulfillment I thought I would find was missing. I found that fulfillment in teaching and have been passionate about sharing science and writing improvement with my students ever since.

Personal Notes:

I have enjoyed being a member of the San Ramon community since 2009. My husband I moved here with our dog Charlie because of the wonderful people that live here. I am passionate about living in a community that values education, its neighbors, and family, as much as I do. When I'm not teaching I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my large family.
