I grew up in the Bay Area, and began my teaching career in Livermore. After my first year of teaching, I moved down to sunny San Diego to experience a new part of California, and learn more about Project Based Learning in education. I spent 4 years enjoying San Diego and pursuing my Masters from the University of San Diego. I'm now back in the Bay Area, and so excited to be a Wildcat.

Teaching/Educational Philosophy:

I believe in the "have a good class" mantra. It's a mantra, and hope, that the students take information and run creatively with it. I hope that each and every day my students have a good class, participate in being a good human, and own their education to the best of their ability. I believe in Project Based Learning. In my experience, PBL incorporates several principles, including student autonomy, inquiry, subject matter integration, authentic work, critique, revision, and public exhibition. Each of these principles can improve student learning even when used separately.

Personal Notes:

Hobbies include: shoe collecting, beach dwelling, monster sketching, music mixing, foodie testing.
